Bullying issue

Hi, first post so I hope it's in the proper forum and someone can help.

A question on behalf of a close relative who is very fragile and depressed at the moment (I'm seriously worried he might do something bad to himself) and who is currently being bullied (verbal and psychological) by a particular prison officer.

He is a very courteous and gentle individual who has twice requested, politely, that he be spared having to be dealt with by this officer but, as the officer is quite senior, those requests have been ignored and seem only to fuel his pleasure.

Can anything be done at all?

Can't anyone advise if a prisoner has any right to refuse (requests seem to fall on deaf ears) to be dealt with by a particular officer?
