View Full Version : we were ***aulted
Sunday, 6.30 am. While going to the work I and my friend were ***aulted by two guys on the bus station in one of the busiest shopping places in London. I was punched to the face, and my friend was pushed backwards to the floor. Despite this early time bus stop was full of civilians, but no one (imagine) no one moved to help us. I shocked how people heartless and indiffirent. They watched that girls were attaked by two men and they tried to protect themselves, but no one tried to interfere. This bus station is protected by CCTV cameras, and what I dont realy understand is the purpose of that, if that can not prevent the crime and violence
This is not the first time I am hearing that public they don’t support when something like this happening in the streets. You’re absolutely right they just don’t care sometime. But in my opinion there are also other side effects when a person gets involved in supporting you. Nowadays there are lots of gun crimes in the streets, what if that guy who ***aulted you got a gun or a knife? He/she can be shot or stabbed instantly and there are other lots of procedures when police enquires starts. Given the time 6.30am people would have been busy starting there day. This may be one of the reason why public did not get involved at that time.
What I think is if they don’t wanted to get involved in supporting you at that time still they can call 999 which is also a kind of support so a near by police can catch up with the crime right? Its very common that when you are been attacked by some one at that moment you will try to defend yourself rather than you try to call 999, So what I think is public should help by calling 999 right away. Did you call 999 at that time? And did you enquire about the CCTV if they got that crime on CCTV?

Police came after bus driver called them, and they has got bus cctv record. And, yes, you are right, i`m afraid of think if that guys got a knife....I tried to call police just before they start hit us, but they tried to grab our phones, and then it happened.
But what i want to say you, when bus driver told people to change the bus and explained them that police was coming, people was annoyed, said that this is not their problem at all, and if these girls fought (fought, not attacked) with someone why they have to wait. Listen, I do understand that people didnt want to be late, but we are human being, and i couldnt believe that feeling of sympathy is alien to people, they called us stupid, because of why? because of their work???
What they would feel, if something like that happened to them? would they blame people around them that time?

I feel sorry for you and your friend. Its a shame that nobody tried to help you ladies. I think the best thing to do is report this incident to the police so they can make an investigation about it. I know it will take time before you can get an action about your case but if you continue to follow up the case then something better might happen and you will also help other people from experiencing what happened to you and your friend. I do agree with Jason, people nowadays are scared to get involved because they are concern about their own safety and of course its their prerogative but it will be really nice that atleast somebody should have called 999 in behalf of you guys.Well done to the driver who helped you and callled 999. I feel sad that other people are even annoyed that they need to transfer bus, life can be really cruel sometimes...By the way if you dont mind, i just want to know what made these guys assault you, just curious.....

Thank you and Jason. I do appriciate all that you` re saying me.
As I understood right, do you suggest me to report police about the reaction of people? You know, I`m not sure at all that this will be considered, police nowdays too busy with all these crimes commited around.
... As i realised after, these guys were drug addicted, because the way how they behave and then their facial expression was enormous and was no smell of alcohol. So, they were probably looking to abuse somebody. When i tried to call to police they didnt scared, instead they started to push us.

What i mean to say is to report the two men who assulted you and just continue to follow up your complaints. Another thing in this kind of situation the best thing to do is to go away and then report the incident to the police. Because by trying to scare them by calling the police might not a good idea because some of these people are not scared and you can be in a worst situation. So for your own safety just go away from these abusive people who assulted you then report the incident to the police.
