A lot of companies are now hiring through employment agencies. This means that they don't have to offer the same rights as a regular employee would get.

If you are hired through an agency you can be finished on the spot, whereas a proper employee would have to be given some notice.

Also, through agencies the pay is lower, and you don't get paid holidays.

I think some legislation ought to be enacted to make employers hire people properly.

hmmmm

The you have said is very general as its up to you to get the most out of an agentcy..

Standards agentcy contracts are 1 day notice for the first 1 to 3 months.. but this is a term that you don't have to agree to..

But this thread is good inregards to getting the word out!

Well its natural that you dont get the same right because they dont get the same salary as well. I thought agency employee get higher pay than regular employees because of different incentives they get. Im pretty sure there is a legislation that protect agency employee. You just have to be careful and wise in choosing the agency you work for.Nowadays there is lots of incentives given to agency employee as well its because of high competitions in the market for agency work.

Yes where I live people who go through these agencies often do earn higher wages. And you know up front that you get a higher pay to compensate for the fact tthat you do not get benefits.

They is quite common in America as well. Companies will hire you as an independent contractor. However, this is generally for shorter term work.

Well, if you go through an employment agency, I doubt you have to have the same education as if you were really hired.. Although the pay might be lower, there must be some positive aspect to this.

I know it sucks but a job is a job where ther eare some people who find it hard to get a job own their own. I don't know why but it's like that for some. I know the benefits aren't as great but hey.
