I read this article in "TheLondonNews", which was really worrying me, a hacker from US has hits British PCs, the paper says thousands of computers in the UK have come under attack from a hacker in the US stealing credit card details, personal information, p***words, online transaction. More than 2,300 computers in the UK are thought to have been targeted and some 83,000 files affected. Met. Police are trying to notify the victims by email.

If he is in the US why he attacked British PCs? What made him to steal UK based data? Have you got any ideas guys? Do you guys think that our home/Office base PCs are more vulnerable than a PC in US?

Well all i can say is just keep safe and have the latest defending software installed. You aint going to get anywhere if you worry about it, so just buy the latest security products and install them.

Yes and just be extra careful when you make any deals in the internet and make sure that you always check your account and have reference numbers when you make any payments through internet

the person thinks that because he is not living there he couldget away with it and probablyinhis US state the law is harder...maybe Uk is not so good on following up internet crime etc like the US do..resources, technology, time...I guess USA have it easier to catch these guys than Uk enforcement agencies...

do not belive it has anything monetary or any other reason just the distance...and hope not to get caught....don't think that a UK user with a DELL has a diff build to a DELL from USA and definately not in regards to security...
