N word a crime?

Hi everybody. My friend recently got into some trouble with his school. Hes 16, in grade 11. He drew an innapropriate drawing in math class and is now going to be punished. The picture was a guy robbing a bank, saying F*** the popo, and a few cops were pointing guns saying get on the floor n***a. Thats the n word of course. Hes very worried about the punishment, especially because the police officer at our school is black himself. My friend wants to know if the officer can take this as a hate crime, and if not, is there any way he can be punished for a crime, even though this wasnt directed to any particular person. He was fooling around, being stupid, and didnt mean it. Thanks in advance for any help

Nigga is different from Nigger, the dreaded 'N Word'. Nigger is a historical term, first used many centuries ago. Nigga is a phrase that originates from the Rap culture of the Eighties and Nineties... Nigga, being used by many Black people in the UK and the USA. It isn't that offensive.

Your friend might get in a bit of trouble... Nothing really big...

It isn't a 'hate crime' [:rolleyes:] unless the guy had an arrow pointing to him saying 'School Security Guard/Police Officer' or implying it was meant to be the cop...

The n word is only offensive when used by a white person toward a black, its the same with the word faggot, if a gay man calls another gay man a 'faggot' its ok, but if a straight man says it, it becomes offensive.
