Saddened by the sight of more crime and attacks i have a question,what do we do?

I live in a city & the crime is so out of control.

My estate is manic with yob rule, many locals are scared stiff and the youth take control after dark.

This is something happening across the Nation, but what can be done?

Is there any organisation out there that is organising in communities, helping honest citizens organise to legally resist crime?

There is nothing being done. No groups to tackle these out of control babies... Nothing. Im afraid the belief being adopted by the wonderful country that we inhabit is emphasis on the people stepping up to these brats. It is now illegal to defend your home in any way what so ever.

It is a shame...

You COULD try and start a neighbourhood watch group, but it probably wont kick off if people feel intimidated by them.

The most important thing to do is protect your property and ensure the safety of you and your family and anyone living inside your property.

Ask around. Give names to the police. Etcetera.

The prisons are full already they cant lock us up for taking our own action. I swear if I had plenty money right now I would being my own organisation that gets evidence and judges the worst criminals and dishese out the punishment right there and then.

a team of muscle to be drafted into a street of youths to tear them up. What difference is it to what they are doing. Just other way around for a change.

Thats my plan!

I too live in a crime ridden area. Believe me i went to the police with information which got me injured by yobs and then the police would not do anything about the yobs who hurt me.

For two years i have felt angry by what is going on not just to me but to other people. I have thought of taking matters in to my own hands alot and at times iv realy had to grit my teeth and not do anything.

I would love to gather a group of people and get info on these criminals and go and give them their punishment.

I hate to say this but soon the new remake of the death wish film will be released and people like you and me are getting sick of crime and being victims and i bet you people will start taking law in to their own hands.

This happened in america when the original death wish films came out.

I just heard on the radio another stabbing. Thats 4 in the space of a few days. When will it stop and this madness be stopped.

Peoples lives used to mean something i am sure the people that died in the war did not fight in the war for this country to turn out the way that it is.

I hate whats going on here and someone should get a group together and show the criminals that the people wont stand for it anymore.

Once we grew tired of the water we lay on the beach and I was blown away by what I saw and it wasn’t nature.

You can't take on the whole city. But, you can form a Tenants & Resident's Panel for your own particular estate. Get some people together, who will dedicate themselves to seeing it through. Approach your local council, with a good spokesperson, and tell them you want to re-claim your estate. Get your community policeman to the first meeting. It will be slow, but it can be done! You can make a real difference. Build up to getting financial aid from the council to clean the place up (if it's needed) CCTV cameras where needed, it's been done with other estates. Get the council to set up and anti-social phone line, where you can also report small crimes, they can liaise with the police. Set up a fare for the residents to raise funds. Build up to a curfew for the yobs running around at night. United you stand, divided you fall. You can do it, it's been done in my town!!

Every resident now receives a booklet every quarter, giving all the info you need in the way of phone numbers where you can get help, updates, budgets, progress with CCTV etc etc, and don't take no for an answer from the council. Get your local MP involved also. Would appreciate any updates on this :D
