Alerts for missing & abducted>>

This is a repost for my original post on alerts for missing children in the UK...but I had it closed.

This morning it was announced that there will be child rescue alerts via media etc started in the UK...YEAH...VICTORY!!! I am glad to have participated in campaigning for this for so long...funny how after the Madeleine Mccann case this is so suddenly introduced...hmm...well I think it's fantastic news (clap)

Would any of you respond to an alert if you were in the area where the child has gone missing?
or would you leave it to someone else or police...?

How would you handle seeing a missing child with a suspected abductor...?

I would do my very best to respond to an alert of a missing child.

If i were to see a suspect and the child then i would question them immediately and speak with the child.

I have previously worked as an anti social behaviour officer and i am pretty sure that i would be able to tell if the person was lying or if they were acting suspiciously, i would not call the police but quickly disable that person and then shout for help. This way you save the child and this scumbags next victim.

The main thing is that you do NOT allow that person to leave with the child.
