Is it good to have Rehabilitation for sex offenders?

I have asked many people who worked in prisons, they all say it’s very hard to rehabilitate specially a serial rapist.

What you guys think of this?

I think perhaps we can if we point out ins and out of a mentality of a rapist..

That will be a very difficult challenge but of course if it works and will be better for majority then it is very good to rehabilitate them. Everyone deserve a second chance but of course it needs a good assessment of one's personality and behaviour.

I think there might be some people who can be rehabilitated. But i Really wonder if most people cannot be afterall.

Well if we caught the rapist and rehabilitate them then there will be no serial rapist:rolleyes: Or proven guilty rapist with no chance to rehabilitate then death penalty should be applied so no serial rapist....

What if the cops could not catch a rapist and he kept doing it? Then he comes under serial rapist right? So what are you trying to say?

prolific rapists and sex offenders who pose an iminent danger to the public should be locked up for life and as for rehabiltation think were serial sex offenders are concerned it waste of time as they mostly have no remorse for what they have done and will often threaten that once they released they will reoffend

TO BE HONEST, DURING MY LIFETIME I HAVE COME ACROSS MANY METALLY ILL PEOPLE, MEDICATION & TREATMENT DOESNT ALWAYS WORK...MY FEELINGS ARE THAT THOSE THAT OFFEND MORE THAN ONCE IN ANY SEX CRIME SHOULD ALL BE PUT ON AN ISLAND SO THEY CAN INFLICT THEIR SICKNESS ON THEIR OWN TYPES...THAT WAY US TAXPAYERS WOULDNT HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR KEEP WHILST THAY LANGUISH IN A JAIL WITH PLAYSTATIONS & COMPUTERS, WHILST THE VICTIMS SUFFER..ALSO IT WOULD SOLVE SOME OF THE ISSUES WITH OVER CROWDED PRISONS. THE SAME WITH SERIAL MURDERERS & PERSISTANT VIOLENT OFFENDERS, THEY SHOULD BE PUT ON ISLANDS WITH PEOPLE WHO LIVE AND BEHAVE LIKE THEM THAT WAY THOSE WHO ARE LEFT CAN ENJOY THE EARTH IN HARMONY...THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED.

I think everyone who is mental and have problems should be sent to a mental institution. I don't think that offenders shoudl be allowed to partake in the world because they may offend again.

Well proper assessment should be done as evryone should be given a second chance but if they fail the assessment for rehabilitation no need of putting back to jail. They should be penalized of death penalty straight away atleast one thing is for sure they will never ever re-offend!
