View Full Version : phone calls to London’s police station
Is this true that half the phone calls made to London’s police station go Unanswered? I am talking about non-emergency calls
Maybe its true but why dont you try calling a police station and tell us what happened. Beside how would you know which is emergency call or non emergency call do they have different numbers?
Hey Damian have you tried calling the police station. Give us some feedback please!
Yes I did call, I called an non-emergency line and they kept me hold and in-between there was a recording said if its emergency please call 999. But then I just hung-up and tried after some hours later.
How long did you wait? Why didnt you try 999? Thanks for the update.
You won’t believe it was more than 20 to 25m I was holding and this stupid recording was going on and on….. I was shocked
The reason I did not call the 999 because it wasn’t an emergency!
Why not? Maybe you should try and if they do answer then just hung up or say sorry wrong number or my kid was playing with the phone just to see how quick 999 answer their phone. Unless your scared to try.....
What you mean by “scared to call 999”? I have called 999 before and I know how they treat emergency calls. I am talking about non-emergency calls.
Okey not aproblem. Well its hard to judge how long it will take to answer an unemergency call because we dont know how many calls they get everyday. So we just have to give them the benefit of the doubt....

You shouldn’t call 999 just for your testing Lea! You know this is a crime too.
If they know that your just testing they can question you and put you behind bars.
How would they know ur just testing? There are lots of research that they need to do some testing to get a valid outcome. I dont mean any harm its not just some prank calls u know...
