What do you have to do...?
Post in this thread what you think is the best way to STOP crimes in UK.
If you can come up with a good idea or a method to STOP crime or if
you see any good methods that are used to STOP crimes in other
countries and not in UK then post that information on this thread.
The closing date will be on the 31st of May 2007... Midnight!!!

I think I will start it.
First of all we need to know why do a person involves in crime.
An immense research have been made on this.
Taking the matter from the roots and providing solutions for the prevention of crime would be a better step.
Removing the factors which become source of crime would be appreciating.

Mr. Admin ii have a question, who will judge the ideas that we will post? How are you going to choose which idea will be the best? And how many ideas are you allowed to send? I think this is a very good idea and I'm looking forward to send my ideas....Goodluck to evryone
Good, what I thought was I will select the first 10 suggestions / ideas and put a poll count so all of you can vote for the winner.
A single person can have many ideas, so you can post as many you can.
If you guys have any better way of selecting please let me know.

Thanks Mr. Admin, I'm excited to join the competition and looking forward to send my post/s for the competition soon.
Why can’t we have a community service for school children from grade 5 till they finish GCE A/L. I mean a group of social service People can visit schools and give a small lecture on UK Laws. A kind of a class every month (or) Introduce a course or a subject “Law” in every schools. May be in this way we can say to the younger generation that there is some thing called Law order in our society and this may reduce some crimes.
I am not sure if it’s already implemented or not. If "yes" then just ignore this. :)
I thought of this due to personal experience. Why can't we have a law that any patient at the age of above 60 years old unless physically and mentally able should not undergo major surgery. I thought of this one for two reason, waste of money and waste of quality of life. Lots of elderly manage to live a happy life with their family but once they undergo a major surgery most of them (aged above 60 to 70 y/o) deteriorate more and the money spend in their surgery either private or nhs is just wasted as they will no longer enjoy a quality of life. Not only medical condition but we have to take into consideration the age of patient prior to surgery. Because i believed that providing wrong medical treatment is a crime and misused of government funds for medical services is another crime.

how can you prove that this is a medical crime? if the patient wanted have a surgery then his/her choice to have it. if NHS don’t do it they go outside which is bad again.
If you gave a wrong medical treatment and it so happened that the patient didnt recuperate and died what would you call this crime Jason? I just thought it is under medical crime I dont want you to misunderstood what I 'm trying to express i was just hoping that with law providing an age consideration of patient prior to undergoing surgery should be addressed accordingly and not just the fact that we have a target to attain in treating patients we just have to operate evry single patient referred to the hospital. Jason have you evr work in any medical field/ hospital? Because if you do then you would probably be able to understand what i mean. Waiting time for a patient to be treated is just unbelieveable....so i thought if we have this law then proper medical treatment will be provided to the patient who needed the treatment most, and please dont get me wrong that because they are elderly they should be treated as well but i just thought we have to assessed them as a holistic approach not just for their medical problem. Hi i made a forum web site this has access to a question and answer forum with membership open at present. the idea is to find low cost solutions and pass the sucessful ideas on to others ,
How about start to give anti-crime educated to our kids or new generation. Let the schools take them a tour of prison or crime scenes (but not so violences or harmful one). Let them see how horrible it is, so they will afraid and hesitate to commit the crime. I have heard some countries do this way but i forgot where.

We should install a metal detector and securty guards to inspect all bags of students in all ages before entering the schoold premises. A police dog to be in placed in school yards to check for any other weapons/drugs that cannot be detected. I thought of this because there are lots of incidents that happened recently in school grounds. I think our government should think about this issues.
