Whats the deterents to prevent "KILLING" continuing at rate it is going at, whether its with Guns, Knives,swords or Baseball bats or just Boots

Whats the deterrent that will strike fear into the criminals

It is the factor of the society.To reduce crime we need to unite against crime and to fight crime we need to change criminals.
We need to change the way we treat people.

Well media have a very strong impact in our society. Sometimes it makes the situation worst. It can also encourage other people to do bad and scare a lot of people to get involve in this kind of crime. I just hope that media/ news will be more careful and sensitive in providing news and information. In my own opinion they should not give information on how the child is been killed in full details either in TV or newspaper. They have to be a little bit more discreet

I think setting up laws such as the "Death Penalty" would work to make child killers less likely to kill, unless they are emotionally disturbed, etc..

If you get fear into criminals, then will commit less crimes.

Fear is not necessarily always so...if it was that way then there would be no murders as the death penalty exists...although not in England.

For me "Death Penalty" is not just to frighten criminals so they will not commit the crime but it is applied to eradicate ruthless criminals in our society. No chance of doing the same crime again.....but of course it has to be fair judicial system.

Not everyone is afraid of death. Which is why some people commit suicide after they've reached the point of no return.

Well as I have said "Death Penalty" is not to frighten anyone but to completely eradicate them in the society so they cant commit another crime and if they do take their own lives then well and good save taxpayers money for the lethal injection!:rolleyes:

It's better to prevent than fight. We need to give a better education to all people in the society to respect other people's rights. Respect the laws and give a good cooperation. this way will decrease the crime rates in long term.

I think child killers should suffer. I don't believe or stand behind no person who harms a child and takes thier life in anyway whatsoever.

Yes they should be given the worst of punishments.Death penalty is less.They should get more of it.Something they can suffer through and feel the guilt.

Death can not be a justified punishment for such cruel act of crime.They shoul feel the pain in life and not get the peace of death I feel.
