Whats the deterents to prevent "KILLING" continuing at rate it is going at, whether its with Guns, Knives,swords or Baseball bats or just Boots

Whats the deterrent that will strike fear into the criminals

I think religon or moral values can be a strong tool to deal with that,
Minds of nations are deviating.If people will nothing to do,they will kill,rob........
Many methods are used but not working well.but ithink that religon and moral can help prevent crime.
We need to change minds and souls.

Moral values can be a strong tool but i doubt with religion as people have different interpretation when it comes to religion, different opinions and understanding. With moral values it should start from home, family orientation have a very strong effect in current crimes in our society.

I noticed the police have started taking knives off the streets, but it won't do no good. It's not getting at the heart of the problem.
