That was in golden days. Nowadays our lawyers are far better than that and also there's too many organizations that you can go to seek help. So lets give our lawyers some good credits.....

Have you got any idea how legal aid fees are paid for crime? The value of a case depends greatly on where the case is to be tried, and the volume of the work involved in the case. A not guilty plea can generate a far better fee than a guilty plea.

The same amount of paperwork is generated when delaing with a legal aid case whether it is a guilty or not guilty plea.

I do believed and have high respect to our lawyers and other public service but of course I dont deny that there are some anomalies that exist in our society.

Legal aid lawyers are often overworked. I don't think they are commiting fraud, but they may not be providing the best representation.

People are smart enough to know if pleading guilty is a stupid idea. You can always get a new lawyer. It may be underhanded, but its not fraud.

Rubbish! If your not guilty why would you plead guilty, thats a very stupid idea. If your legal aid advise you to plead guilty and you know that your not you can tell him to get lost and get another lawyer and then sue that lawyer as well.

So what are you trying to insinuate? Nowadays lots of private lawyers or law services with NO WIN NO PAY services so it doesnt make any difference anymore right? You dont need to go to a Legal Aid Workers because their service is free if you are not confident that you will not have a fair trial. You can get a private lawyers now.bobby :)

Hey ddc you're absolutely right. This is perfectly rubbish. It's always better to take the help of law for your protection. If your lawyer cant help you then go for another attorney. You can't be silent by knowing that you are innocent.
