Well we have to be broadminded, its a two way traffic lots of pedestrian dont use the right path or doesnt even use the pedestrian crossing so you can't just blame the drivers. Evryone of us is a hazard on the street so we just have to be extra careful and considerate when your out there on the street either driving or your crossing the road.

Tell that to the family of the woman and the two kids that were hit and killed by the hit and run driver last week another asian that doesnt understand British law you have to stop when your car is dragging a body along the road

But never mind British justice gave him 2 years per victim so if he is good will be free in 4 years

Please dont get me wrong. What I'm saying is evryone of us either driver, passenger, or pedestrians are all at risk when your on the street so we just have to be extra careful. And driver is a driver no matter what nationality it is, when they commit crime or disobey traffic rules they have to be punished. You where saying that it's an Asian driver who never understood British Tarffic rules, does the driver have a license? I hope you can share the whole story of this issue. Thanks

Well I think concern_citizen is trying to point out that evryone is a risk when your out on the street. And LondonBornPaddy your sounding a bit racist there about those asians but look what our british govt did I think its a bit lenient for the punishement they give him as you said those dumb drivers should be treated like child abuser well for me their sentence should be death penalty as well.What do you think? British court failed to give justice to this poor family! What is four years in jail, its nothing!

People do need to be careful when driving. You should not speed or have road rage as it is a danger to others.

In my opinion, cars are even more dangerous than cars. Far more people die from car wrecks than from gunshots.

They are more dangerous in the sense that you don't have to be sadistic to kill anyone, just drunk or careless. Cars are everywere and more easily obtained. Think of it this way: If you fire a gun once, you will only hit one person, but if you cause a wreck, anyone who is close enough or in the car gets hurt.

Well in my own opinon both are dangerous and can kill and it's not how many can be at risk but it is the innocent people who get affected. So cars and gun are just the same can be dangerous and can kill anyone.

but cars driver can sentenced as a careless or drunk driver. never heard of drunk gunner though :p but yeah both are dangerous if you dont yus with care or dont follow the rules/laws.

Both the driver and the pedestrian have to understand the concept behind moving vehicles. Cars are bigger and stronger than humans which means that we should have the common sense to not play with them. On the other hand drivers should understand that when driving you should always be courteous.

If it was genuinely an accident then why should the driver be punished. There driving along at 40 Miles Per Hour on a 40 MPH road and some kid runs straight in front of their car. Nothing other than the child not being there would have prevented the incident. There should be more emphasis on road safety in schools and driving schools.
Saying that though, in a sad ironic sense a friend of mine was hit by a car and killed when we were kids two weeks after a traffic safety course.
