What is there in Britain to deter young people in gangs using weapons and killing people with no regards to others

Why is the Government avoiding any Detterents to teach teenagers and adults what they do is wrong,,

If an 18year old kills another person and gets life in jail they will be back on streets by time they are 30 so they can start again and kill again

So why isnt there anything to DETER serious crime, seems no one wants the criminals to think before they do it..

Well each and everyone of us should always be given a second chance and if society will be so aggressive in punishing them (criminals) then we are no difference with them at all.

You still havent gave me your deterent to prevent people killing others ,,or do you just wish to ignore it all and hope it will stop

Hmmm well I find it hard to believe that deterrents do not exist. Surely everyone is aware of jail sentences that could happen if serious crime is committed.

I would hope that 20 years of jail time would be a detterent, but to some people it seems like it doesn't matter. For that, I don't think there is a good solution.

You should think about people who killed other by accident as well. if you wantto sentence all murderers for longer jail time, it's not fair for those unlucky people.

Aint nothing gonna stop these kids. Some of them are so alienated and brainwarped that they dont care for someones life.

Theres no deterrent as of yet that seems to be working so we need to look to early prevention.

The mentality is deeply rooted into the social structure and foundation of the youth in areas most affected. This is why ex-offenders are being used to show these youths that its not bless and that what they may see on a rap video is appealing it is very muched divorced from reality. Hopefully most will grow out of it but there is a real problem that i believe lies in the education system, potentially a child has more contact with thir teachers that anyone else. Any thoughts on this?

Why is it that the most affected communities have access to firearms, the black community in particular, where do they get teir weapons and drugs from?

Word on the street is the government is putting it there. Conspiracy? This is the common belief in certain areas of Brixton, Peckham, Tottenham...
