I would class this as a big crime as once someone is keylogged, everything they enter. Bank details, personal information & other important info is reaching the email address of the sender. Many people dont really pay attention and consider keyloggers as low risk.

Keylogger is one of the dangerous and harmful program in computers
This program can come into your pc in many ways, in emails, or by visiting some strange sites like ****ographic sites etc. To keep out if this harmful programs, your have to keep your O/S up-to-date and get a good anti-virus s/w and keep that also up-to-date.

There is a free windows program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software. this is only for windows O/s. You can download this from :
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx?wt_svl=20012a&mg_id=20012b

I think all of you know about this 3 months “AOL Data” that got realised public on the net. This is one eg site where you can see how a keylogger can be dangerous. See this article on this site: http://plentyoffish.wordpress.com/2006/08/07/aol-search-data-shows-users-planning-to-commit-murder/

Keyloggers are possibly the most dangerous virus/trojan besides one that is designed to destroy your computer...hackers would enjoy using your credit card.

You shouldn't use Internet Explorer. You will get all kinds of malware with it.

A good firewall is also very important. If you have one in place, a keylogger can't transmit information.
