Hey bluegem welcome to the forums, i am new just like you.
Jason i think i want to contribute to that also:
By looking at jade's actions and words i feel that she has been totally racist and needed some punshiment. The uk public took this in to there own hands and filed complaints about the program which tells us that they are allot of people out there who are worried about racism. The communities are getting together and acting as a whole to fight crimes like that which is showing unity.

That's not fair Jason.you gave a warm welcome to everybody and for me "Questions".
Anyways.Here is what i think.
According to a recent survey there are one-third of black and Asian respondents who thought they had lost a job because of racial discrimination.
One issue that provoked some of the sharpest differences between racial groups was whether ethnic minorities are given extra advantages when it comes to hiring them for jobs.
Just over one in four white respondents believed extra advantages were given (54% did not).
However, 73% of both Black and Asians did not think they received any such advantages (about 14% said they did).
Almost half (47%) of Whites think it has damaged British society (compared with 28% who think it has benefited us).
Among black respondents 43% said British society had benefited and among Asians half thought the same.
You can clearly observe the situation. And I personally think that it is a serious problem that should be consider serious.
Now at least welcome me to the forum.
I think jason is not going to welcome you on forum.

Jason i would like it if you dont allways go in and start asking questions when there is a new person on this board. You did this to me and i did feel uncomfortable even though i kept quiet about is. So please give people a welcoming feel to the forum.

Hi Bluegem, I've just seen that you are a searcher and reporter. I'm wondering if throughout your time as such, you've found anything out on the unsolved murder that happened in kew (possibly on kew bridge) This happened in 1954 and although i've the information that "came down" to me as i was growing up, i know little more than HOW and WHY it came about and the fact that the person who died was male. I'm not sure what MONTH or DAY it occurred either, just that it happened in 1954. I can't seem to find a way to access newspaper records on line either and it appears that the library only holds copies THAT old of the "local rag" and that would involve me travelling back up to london for the Richmond gazette records. I'd appreciate hugely anything you may have or can acquire on this topic. Thankyou.
