Could someone please tell me what's it like in Prison...The person who stabbed me has been sentenced to 10 years in jail & must serve atleast 6 &1/2 years.. Is Prison easy, like you hear on the news & what is the daily routine of a prisoner..??
COMPAIRING NORMAL LIFE WITH PRISON LIFE,Prison life really SUCKS.
I think he will be sorried for his deed.
Prison is not easy. Its like mental torture.Like when he stabbed you,you were mentally tortured.Similarly he is now having the same condition and GUESS what....for 6 and 1/2 years.
That's a huge time.

When your freedom is lost then you loose everything. Then playstation and table-tennis doesn't matters.I have read your story there at "STREET CRIMES"
and happy to know that he is sentenced.
Prisons are built for the guilty. So there is no fun there and nothing called "LIFE".

I didn't understand a word of that..!
There are many kinds of prison in UK its all depends where your going to serve your sentence
In my view Life in prison is very hard, you are locked up in a small room for days and nights. There is no freedom, this is a major punishment. They must do what others are told and because of the mantel torture many prisoners think of suicide.

When i was younger at school i was told by teachers you get everything you need in prison. Tv, food and you get to chillout. Obviously it was the teachers fault for giving this information. I am pretty sure prison aint the right place for anyone.

If prison is so dreadful, why is the re-offending rate so high..??
very good point tingnting. Your absolutely right!!
why there are many ppl become more violent after they serve prison sentences? So prison system is a failure? I like to get some feed backs on this.

i never been into prison but just the thought of losing your freedom and being away with your family is definitely not a kind of life you want to have. It is hard to point fingers on who's fault why some people who's been to jail got worst when they come out, it can be the system and it can be peers influence. Because other people are sometimes just been misguided, sometimes just been framed up but once they experience a prison life it does have some negative or positive effect to them. Some bad person realized what they have done is wrong and they try to change and other people who are framed up feels so much anger that turns them into a bad person. So we can't just blame the system. It work both ways.

Maybe prison isn't that bad..? Apparently every cell in the country has a T.V, you get 3 square meals a day, top-notch medical care, use of a gym, education courses & a whole lot more..
So, maybe that's the problem.. ? sounds pretty good.

Ok you severed in the prison for say 20years! Now you come out and wanted to be a good person. Like all said and wanted. You come and apply for a Job.
Now put yourself in the position where you are in the selection group. Will you ever select this person to join your organisation after you know that this person just came from prison? I wanted an honest answer! I have asked many people the same question and 80% of them said NO. So my point is prison system is a failure. So who ever comes out of the prison they still have to fight against the society. Many don’t so they end up in the streets and become more violent.

Well you cant blame other people if they dont employ them. They are just extra careful or i would say scared . But if you will asked me I will give them a chance with all honesty in my heart but of course I will be very careful because it's not my safety but it's other employers safety as well that i have to take in consideration and other people involve. Because if nobody will give them a chance then you are just making things worst for them. But nowadays our government usually have a program to help ex-prisoners to get a job and human rights organization will be able to help them as well. And in due respect if people who doesnt want to give ex-prisoner a chance to change then it's not the failure of the prison system but it's the general society who fails these people's hope to change.
