Well you have to learn from your mistakes and will serve as a reminder to you to be extra careful. To tell you the truth I do trust people eventhough i just met them but it doesnt mean that I'm less cautious. Specially when money is involve, I made sure that i keep all the neccessary documents and receipts whenever I pay anything in cash, in the bank, telephone banking, internet payments and other transaction. Never ever forget to take down the transaction number or reference number whenever your making any deal/s in the interenet or through the phone. Always take the name of the person your dealing with and it will be helpful if you write down the date and time you made the transaction.

Jason they aint people sending these to every one of us. They are bots which have a millions of email addresses to send the email to and it automatically does it. They call it a 'marketing strategy'.

Hi, I have never decieved any one in my life. But this time I dont know what I have done.
MY mobile phone got stolen from a bus and when I looked at my insurance papers, It doesnt covers theft on a public transport.
To claim my expensive phone, I actually had to go to police and register a false robbery complaint, that I have been robed. I dont know what would happen if they found it out.
Could any one please interpet the laws on lodging a false complaint.
I think Legend you did the right thing because insurance is making a profit from your monthly fee so you deserve to be compensated. False complaints nah... I call it white lies. Hope you will feel better and enjoy your new phone.

Yes it is unfortunate that not all people are honest. I think reading about fraud prevention and IDentify thefts provide a good start to protecting yourself.

Anything that asks for your credit card, paypal, money, bank account, passwords, etc.. are usually all scams/frauds unless you requested them yourself, or you are buying something which needs your credit card, etc..
Yeah Chronotrigga is right on the ball...never give away any of your account information unless you actually initiated the process.
