You're all probably being inundated with "Crime and the Media" orientated threads as exam season is approaching. If you're reading this then thank you for you saint like patience. I'm about to test that patience with a questionnaire. To all those who reply, thank you.

Think of a British gangster film from the last 10 years that you've watched (“Lock, Stock”, “Layer Cake”, “Green Street”, “Sexy Beast” etc.) while you're doing this.

1)Do you think that these films are a true representation of the crime of our times? If so, why?

2)Do you think that these films glamorise crime? If so, how?

3)Do you think that these films glamorise the perpetrators of these crimes? If so, how?

4)Have these representations of crime ever influenced you to commit crime? If so, how?

5)Do you think that these gangsters are acceptable role models in today's British society?

6)Do you think gangsters ever have been acceptable role models in British society?

7)How do you perceive these gangsters? Are they victims of their own circumstance or are they ruthless criminals who deserve everything they get?
