If you were to one day look at your bank account and find that there was £400 extra in your account would you tell your bank.

What an outstanding question.
Well definitely ‘Yes’ there are many ways ppl cheat a bank and this is one of them in my point of view. Your bank A/c may be used for some illegal activities so its always good to inform the bank ‘why get into problems’ and definitely one day your back will find out this money and will contact you.
I like to ask this same question to you. what is your answer?

I agree with Damian someone could use your bank account to do illegal activities and retrieve the money. Therefore it will be in your best interest to notify the bank.

Just to inform bank?
It is not the exact answer.
you should also inform the police about this.
Because no one know what will happen next.
For you security purpose you sholud take all possible actions.
Yes, You can inform the police also what i meant was not to keep quiet. If you inform the bank they know what exactly to do. Even a police person will ask the first question “did you inform your bank”. Bank ppl got more experience in this kind of situations they can react very quickly and trace the root.

I would probably inform the bank for the reasons others have mentioned. It probably means something is wrong with your account, and next time it might affect you negatively.
Yeah, I was going to say, if you don't say anything, the bank might think you did something illegal.

Absolutley right guys! I will report it to the bank straight away and report to the police is also a good idea just to make sure you are cover for any anomalies that they might involve you.
